How far along: 24 weeks. His brain is quickly growing now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing and he is just over a pound.
How big is baby: An ear of corn!
Sleep: It has been awesome since we started school yesterday and the alarm rang at 5:15. I don't even remember going to sleep last night, I was so tired!
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Nothing new! Still not eating meat but consuming a lot of yogurt and granola!
Exercise: YOGA! My belly grows during the days- it is so weird. So by late afternoon/early evening, I feel a lot more pregnant than I did in the morning. Yesterday I went to yoga and taught yoga. May have been a little much, especially with working all day. I recovered by laying on the couch and watching the Kardashians!
Gender: BOY!!
Movement: Lots
of movement and I continue to feel him the most right as I am going to bed. Sunday we were pretty busy, getting ready for the impending work week, and I finally laid down to read Anna Karenina, and that is when little dude started doing flip after flip. I don't think this is a good sign.
Worries: I am worried that this baby has to come out of me. And it hurts. There is no sugar coating it this time. I know how painful it is.
What I'm loving: We are back at school which means it is already the end of August and time is flying. Before I know it, December will be upon us!
Symptoms: Easy annoyance. Since we are seeing our co-workers for the first time in 3 months, and not many new I was pregnant until they saw me, I have had a A LOT of comments. One being how much bigger I am this time around then I was with Paul. I seriously have no idea what possesses people to talk about body shape, weight, etc. with pregnant ladies. Just say I look good and move on. I don't need to hear anything else.
What I'm looking forward to: TODAY! I only work three days a week, so today I have off with my 2 year old dude. He is still sleeping now, but I have a fun day planned of science experiments and the letter A!
For what it's worth, I think you look great. People really do make dumb comments. When I was pregnant this last time a cashier at Michael's said, "You look really uncomfortable." Seriously!
