Here is what babycenter. com says about the bambino at 30 weeks:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
I can't believe the little guy is already 3 pounds. A little cabbage in my belly. We go to the doctor today so I am pretty excited to hear the heartbeat. Baby boy has been moving around, although the movements are changing a bit. Sometimes I can feel what I think are arms and legs pushed up against my belly. It is strange and awesome at the same time.
Sleeping is becoming more and more difficult. Not necessarily finding a comfortable sleeping position, but once I wake up to go to the bathroom (which occurs every night) I have a REAL hard time going back to sleep. Maybe I should just turn on the light and read since that little hobby may take a backseat once baby boy gets here.

When I got to the point of not falling back asleep, I did A LOT of reading and playing Sally's Spa on the Internet. I also slept sitting up a bit, that really seemed to help some nights.
