There are many things I swore I wouldn't do when I was pregnant. But then Paul came and I was forced to shift my expectations.
For example,
I thought I would disinfect every toy, pacifier, nipple. I do not.
I thought I would always buy organic formula and baby food. I do not.
I thought I would stimulate Paul enough everyday so I would not have to rely on any TV programs. I do not.
I thought I would wash all Paul's clothes in the special baby detergent. I do not.
I also thought I would never let our golden retriever lick spit up off my child's face. But I do. And frankly, it is the most efficient clean-up I can think of.
AHHAAHAH I love this list and that is the best picture of D dog ever.
ReplyDeleteI've been making a mental list of all the ideals vs reality too! It just happens.
ReplyDeleteI want a dog to pick up all the food that I know will eventually be on the floor once S scarts eating big people food!
What a TRUE post!!! LOL I have definitely learned as a mother "never say never". I do so many things I never thought I would do.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a dog for that reason. And to clean up the floor when food is dropped.
