Letting Go

In yoga tonight the instructor started class by asking us to let something go. It could be anything. An actual object, a feeling, an emotion, an action, something in the present or in the past.

I am trying to let go of all the stress that can develop once the calendar hits December. I want to enjoy all our parties, buying gifts for family and friends, decorating the Christmas tree and our house, putting lights up, sending a Christmas card. And of course celebrate sweet Paul's first Christmas. I don't want this special holiday to be tainted with tension or an overwhelming to-do list. I may have to do some more yoga to achieve this goal.

What are you letting go of?

  1. Ahhh. I need a yoga class. It would make me so happy. I am trying to let go of having the "perfect holiday" Every year I run around buying way too many gifts, trying to make my house look perfect, make perfect holiday meals and try and come up with stuff we will make into memories- I am realizing the best memories come from having a fun, relaxing holiday doing what makes us happy- just being together!

Oh, that seems mushy. Maybe it is the glass of wine I have had already....

  2. I know what you mean- Christmas can really suck the life out of you. I think more wine is a great way to let go! :)
