He's ONE.

I just don't have the words to explain the feelings about my BABY turning ONE.  First, pretty sure this was the fastest year of my life.  Second, Charlie is the sweetest little love who is so handsome that he was mistaken yesterday TWICE for a girl.  This is not good, but I can't care.  We had a small party with our families especially in comparison to Paul's first birthday.  But it was nice and Paul loved opening Charlie's presents for him and showing him how to play with them.  He continues to be a good director of how and when Charlie should be able to play with his new toys.

My mom bought Charlie a little Charlie Brown doll and it is adorable how he snuggles up to Charlie Brown and sleeps with him.

He smashed up his cake, got blue icing everywhere and had to have a costume change into his pajamas.  He is a pretty legit walker/runner although about 5 minutes behind his brother.  Lord help me when they can run the same speed.

When I was pregnant with Charlie I got myself a little worked up (as pregnant ladies do) about how this new boy would fit into our family.  What would Paul think?  How would we do it all?  Can you love number 2 as much as number 1.  And of course, I could have really used all that time worrying about something useful because Charlie fits into our family just perfectly.  And we couldn't love him more.

Happy Birthday sweet man.  I can't believe how much you've grown up in a single year.

Countdown to 32

Ever since I hit my thirties, I have had a hard time remembering how old I am.  Am I 29?  33?  47?  I don't know if this is early onset dementia, but it is weird.  However, in about a month I am turning the big 32!  Not that exciting of an age, but a million things to be thankful for!

To celebrate this occasion, I thought I would share what is on my birthday list!  Feel free to send me anything.  Without pause, I will give my address to strangers who promise to send birthday gifts.  I am that trusting.

Of course what I would really love for my late November birthday is a healthy, happy, sleeps a lot, little boy.  He could come a little early and surprise us all for a birthday treat.  Do you hear that little dude????

Otherwise, this is what I have on my wish list:

Miss Dior Perfume!  I received this as a sample awhile ago and I love the scent!  I think perfume is so hard to figure out since it changes smells from the bottle to when it makes contact with your skin.  But this is light and feminine.

Clarasonic Skin Cleaning.  Isn't this so exciting?  When Tori and Maureen came to visit, I discovered they both have one of these.  So it is obvious now that I need to have one.  I like the gray.  Although the jaguar pattern is tempting!

LL Bean Tote.  This has been on my list for awhile because it would be the perfect pool or workout bag (never to early to think about how you will tote all the towels and sunscreen around)!  I would of course need my monogram added!

This cute iphone case!  I have been rocking a polka-dot case for a bit and I think it is time for a change.  And I love the monograms.  Maureen is to blame one hundred percent for new monogram obsession.

The Keurig.  Luckily, Ryan is now obsessed with coffee.  It has improved our marriage 100%.  We are becoming coffee snobs.  We like to stop at Starbucks on our weekends.  This is really a present for the both of us!

And if you are feeling generous, I guess I'll take an ipad.

Or a gift card to Sephora or Lululemon.

Happy Shopping People!

And a happy birthday to one of my oldest and bestest friends, Sarah.  Today is actually her birthday and has a much more valid reason to celebrate!

The Birthday Party!

We had a low key celebration for Paul's second birthday, just our parents and siblings came over to help commemorate the occasion!  We had some food, cake (Paul was pretty excited about this feature.  Both Paul's actually), presents, and just a little bit of singing.  For some reason, Paul absolutely despises the Happy Birthday song.  It doesn't matter if you are singing it to him, or someone in the same room, the kid will break out in hysterics.  We got about halfway through before the water works began, so I am calling that a success.

A little disclaimer on these pictures.  Our house is on the market.  We had showings all afternoon, so by the time I got home I only had time to put out the food instead of putting on make-up or doing something with my hair.  I look rough.  However, my baby looks cute!

Initially excited about the prospect of singing.  Didn't last long.
Looks like Mom is doing most of the work here!

Who needs the stupid song?  Lets eat cake!!

New Choo-Choo from the Guerrero Family!

Bubble machine!  What genius!

Rocking out with the new guitar!

Looks like I"m REAL excited about this present!

BUGS!!!

New Jordans from Uncle Buck and Aunt Kascie!

Putting them on.....

LOVE THEM!!

Our sweet family!

Sorry for the picture overload, but you know how it goes!  Special thanks to my dad for taking all the photos!  We had a great party and Paul just loved turning TWO!!

TWO TWO TWO!

I can't believe my baby Paul turns TWO today!  He lights up our lives in such an amazing way.  I don't think either of us could love him anymore!  Of course to celebrate his birthday he woke up in the middle of the night screaming, which he hasn't done in ages.  I brought him in bed with us and within seconds he was stretched out as much as his two year old body could muster and asleep in seconds.
Happy Birthday Sweet Baby!  I love you, but stop growing so fast!

Last month my Grandmother (GAZ) turned 80.  I cannot believe that woman is 80 since she still works, walks the beaches of Santa Barbara, and can keep up with just about anyone.  She had a nice celebration in California which unfortunately we could not attend, but my parents did and they said it was fun to catch up with everyone.

One of my favorite stories of my GAZ is from my wedding day.  After the celebrations, I had mentioned to my grandmother that I had observed her dancing with every single male she came across during the reception.  My grandmother took one look at me and said, "Well, where do you think you get your sluttiness from?"

There you go.

Happy Birthday Gaz!  I hope you have a fabulous year!

Can't Seem To Be On Time For ANYTHING.

On Friday, my dad turned the big 6-0! He was actually in California celebrating my grandmother's big 8-0! Big birthdays going on around here.

Although Paul obviously loves Ryan and I and the rest of his family, he has a special love for his G!! He talks about him ALL the time and ignores everyone else if G is in the room. I think it is nice and everything, but again I gave this child birth. The least he could do is look in my direction once in awhile.

Here is Baby Paul and Tall Paul. I can't believe how little small Paul was! I think we are going to need an updated picture of the two of them!
Happy Birthday Dad!
